The Groningen Stamps collection is a rejection to the over-consumed timed out mass souvenirs with a lively and astonishing contrast in how we capture a city. In order to provoke different emotions, the eerie pressure of solitude mixes with the comforting nostalgia in the pictures. The project takes a personal trajectory and captures the ambivalent nature of leaving a city that holds countless memories and is dear to us.
The stillness and wild color choices were selected to abstracify the personally solidified, last kept view about Groningen, rather than make a biased statement on how these locations should be observed.
